Murdock still a few weeks away

Speaking to www.themillers.co.uk Murdock was full of praise for defensive duo Pablo Mills and Ian Sharps, but hopes to be battling for a starting role sooner rather than later.

"I had my operation a few weeks ago and hopefully within the week I should be back in full training and perhaps I can try and get a couple of reserve teams games under my belt to see how things go.

"My problem started towards the end of last season and I had been taking a lot of inflammatory tablets with about ten games to go with the hope that it might settle down in the summer but it didn't. "It's the first time I have had an absence like this since coming to Rotherham but injuries are part and parcel of football so you get resigned to it.

"If I can get in a couple of decent weeks training I should get a game with the reserves in their next game at the end of this month. While I have been out Pablo Mills and Ian Sharps have done well but when someone misses out someone else gets the opportunity so you just have to be patient and wait for your turn again."
