Murdock speaks about Pre-Season

"The summer break has been too short, everbybody's making the same comment, but we're back in and it seems to fly round so quickly. I played two games in the States for Northern Ireland after last season ended. One in New York against Uraguay, then we player Romania in Chicago, it was'nt so bad getting the opportunity to play over there and there was some fun in it as well." Murdock said.

"It's tough, everybody feels the same. It's tough and obviously we're doing some physical work and stuff. Its getting the balance between getting the hard work in and ensuring players get enough recovery time so that they dont pick up any injuries. Inevitably we all get a bit stiff and tired, but you know at the end of the day it's for a good cause and it's something we have to do so you just get on with it."

"I've been on holiday and stuff, whilst there I've been jogging, playing squash and golf but not kicked too many footballs thankfully, but I have kept myself reasonably fit."

"The squad looks radically different already, a lot of the old faces from last year are'nt here any longer, but I know the manager is working very hard to bring in some replacement."

Speaking about the 10 point deficit, Colin said "I suppose its just going to make us more determined to try and get points on the board as quickly as possible. We cannot afford to find ourselves on a run of games like we did last season, otherwise we're in big jeopdy. So I thinks its important to keep focused and get a good start."
