Mullins missed last nights game with Leicester and it was thought he might figure in tonights game at Dinnington Town, but a calf injury suffered in the behind closed doors match against his old club Stockport has left him struggling.
"Johnny made a tremendous tackle to stop their lad going through but, unfortunately, got a kick in the middle of his calf", boss Ronnie Moore told the official website.
"He's had it x-rayed and thankfully it's come back all clear so it's just a case of working with him this week and hoping that he'll be fit enough for the game on Saturday."
Moore added: "It looks like Dale Tonge won't be ready until mid- September time before he's in contention for a place in the side and Popey is likely to be out until October, so it's a blow."
