The 18 year-old Liverpool loanee impressed in the second half of last weeks defeat at Aldershot and is now hopeful of finding the net during his initial months stay with the Millers, starting against Barnet tomorrow.

He told the Advertiser: “I joined Liverpool when I was five and have been there ever since. This is my first time away from home and away from Liverpool, so it's a bit different.

“I've looked forward to coming to here. I'd heard about the new stadium and where Rotherham are in the league and I want to push them up a bit more. I'm a young lad willing to learn so if Brendan Rodgers wants me to come and learn my trade here then that's fine by me.

“Steve Evans is a good character. He's a bit different to Brendan in the way he works but I'm looking forward to working under him because he has showed a lot of faith in bringing me here and seems to like me.

“I wouldn't come here and talk about the players I've played with. It's not about that. I just want to concentrate on the team here and on my development and hopefully go back to Liverpool a stronger player.”

Of last weeks game in the FA Cup when Morgan came on at half time with the Millers trailing, he adds: “It was a little bit different to what I was expecting. It was a lot more physical and there was a lot more long ball but hopefully that will help my development. Learning different kinds of playing styles is part of being a young lad and growing up as a player.

“I've played in the Europa League, which was a different experience again. As an 18-year-old lad it is good to get in as many different cup competitions as possible and now I have made my FA Cup debut I'm really happy. It was just unfortunate about the result.”
