"We are very pleased that Danny has signed, He has had a tremendous season and has really earned his new deal. Danny had to work hard to get into the team and once he was in he was excellent for us." Ronnie said.

"He played the sitting role for us at times last season but I don't think that is his game, I really see more goals in him, We will give him some more freedom next season so he can get forward and have some shots because he strikes a good ball."

"We need more goals from midfield to take the pressure off Alfie so hopefully Danny will use that freedom to get forward and have some shots." he added.
