The Millers rejected an approach from Plymouth Argyle for the 23 year old striker, the bid which was rumoured to be £750k and Rory Fallon in exchange was branded by Moore as a joke and rejected by chairman Tony Stewart.

Alf has scored 36 goals in 56 appearances for the Millers and is looking to stay with the Millers; "Obviously I want to play higher and the club have to got to match that and get promoted this season, At the moment I`m looking to score as many as I can and help take the club as far as I can." he told Millersplayer.

Meanwhile, speaking to the 'Tiser boss Ronnie Moore said; "I will speak to Alfie today to see what his feelings are but obviously we have a limit to where we can go."
