Moore Swoops To Capture Mullin

The 30 year-old midfielder, who as we know was out of contract , turned down reduced terms to put pen to paper and join forces with his old gaffer.

Moore told Tranmere's official site: "He has a good engine and likes to get forward, Hopefully he will get goals for us as we are looking to be an attacking side.” Mullin spent almost five years at Millmoor, scoring 14 times in 173 appearances for the club, with 22 as a substitute.

The ex-Sunderland star signed from Burnley in 2001 for a fee of £150,000 and that has since become the club's record transfer as add ons took the figure beyond that of any other previous transfers. His departure makes him the third out of contract player to reject an offer from the club following the exit of Martin Butler and Paul Shaw and with rumours of Paul McLaren leaving, Alan Knill faces a race against time to get a squad together before pre-season training starts on Friday.

MillersMAD wish John all the best.
