Rumours have been doing the rounds all day and this evening Radio 5live and Radio Sheffield's Seth Bennett have both announced that The Millers will confirm Moore's sacking in the morning.
Moore has been under increasing pressure with his side slipping from the automatic promotion places to possibly dropping out of the play-offs altogether if results are not favourable tomorrow night.
The 5-0 battering at Chesterfield seems to have been the last straw for chairman Tony Stewart who was rumoured to have left his seat before full time and never returned, although he stayed in the ground contrary to some press reports.
First team coaches Andy Liddell and Paul Warne are set to take temporary charge until the end of the season.
