Moore pleased with second-half fightback

United were three goals down to high-flying Forest at The City ground but came close to getting a point with a superb second half showing.

"I am gutted. In the first half we showed no desire and self belief and it was very much like the game here last season," Moore told the clubs website.

"I said at half time that we are in this division because we deserve to be.

"I told the lads to get hold of the ball and pass it about. Get it to Chris Sedgwick who I thought was magnificent, he was easily the best player on the pitch.

"But I am frustrated that we lost, just look at the three goals. Even at third division level they were awful ones to concede but give my players a lot of credit for the way they came back in the second half.

"We murdered them and encouraged the wide men to get deeper so that they could get at the full backs. After we got the second goal we had a lot of half chances but we weren't ruthless enough in front of goal. If we had been we would have got something out of the game which was really one of two different halves.

"They murdered us in the first half because of our lack of belief and you can't afford to give teams like Forest a 45 minutes start and three goals.

"But in the second half we reversed the roles when Sedgy was superb and
Brennan didn't know what to do with him. He put in so many crosses but
we didn't get on the end of them and that was disappointing.

"We should have scored in the last few minutes when Monkhouse got in a low cross but Richie Barker said their lad got a toe on the ball.

"I was happy with the way we performed in the second half and if we play like that and have the belief we will be OK.
