Ronnie Moore confirms he's in talks with Gary Roberts and his agent, but has been rebuffed in his attempts to bring in Enoch Showunmi
MillersMAD reported this lunchtime that Moore had been in contact with Leeds about Showunmi's availability, but it's now believed Leeds are unwilling to let the player speak to the Millers.
However Roberts, 22, on trial after his departure from Yeovil this summer (as we reported yesterday) has already impressed the Rotherham boss enough to have talks over a deal.
Moore told Radio Sheffield: "Gary can knock a short pass but also 60 or 70 yard raking passes to perfection too. He's a yard or two off the pace at the minute but in a couple of weeks time he'll be magnificent.
"We'll speak to the lad and his agent and we're hopeful he'll become a Rotherham player."
