Moore confirms son swoop still on horizon

Moore made a much-publicised pursuit of the Tranmere striker in the summer and a deal looked close after Thomas-Moore turned down a new deal at Prenton Park.

Moore was unable to get his man, though, but remains keen to keep it in the family and bring the 34-year-old to Don Valley.

"The move is not dead. It might not happen this season, though," Moore told Press Association Sport.

"I'd like to bring him here. I'm not just saying that because he is my lad, he was the leading scorer there last season, he's the leading scorer again this season and they've been struggling both seasons. He would score goals here for fun."

Meanwhile, of Burton striker Harrad (26) who has netted 12 goals this season, Moore added: "We've shown interest in Shaun but any deal at the moment looks dead in the water - but we'll keep knocking at the door and asking."
