Moore can't believe Lee is not in Ireland squad

Moore believes Lee must have been forgotten by the FAI after he was not included in the Irish squad for their friendly against Greece on Wednesday.

"I just can't understand how Alan has been overlooked in view of the fact that several other players have pulled out after being called up," said the Rotherham boss.

"Alan has scored 11 goals for us this season, and don't forget that's for a team who are in ninth position in Division One.

"Graham Barrett, who is on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, was originally selected, but how many goals has he scored for the worst team in our division?

"I'm sure no-one has been to watch him, but you can rest assured I will be contacting the Irish FA to make sure they are aware of Alan's capabilities and consider him for their next game.

"Alan has gained five caps at under-21 level so it can't be claimed the Irish FA aren't aware of him.

"But it would appear he has been forgotten by them at the moment," Moore told his club's website.
