The Miller's midfielder picked up a knock in first-half stoppage time during the goalless draw with Burnley at Millmoor on Saturday.
Rotherham Physio Dennis Circuit said: "It's a muscular injury, and not the joint as we had initially thought, so it's pretty positive news."
