Club Captain Colin Murdock had an afternoon to forget for Northern Ireland as his team lost to bottom of the group Wales. The Ulstermen had come back from a two goal deficit to level early in the second half but centre half, Murdock man handled Robert Earnshaw on the edge of the area and Ryan Giggs curled the resulting free kick past Maik Taylor to ensure a first competitive win for John Toshack.
Calamitous

On Friday night, Gregor Robertson grabbed his second goal for Scotland U21's with a header that gave his team a 2-0 lead over Belarus. However, the Scots capitulated in the second half and crumbled to a 3-2 defeat ending the game with 9 men.

On loan midfielder Grant Leadbitter scored a stunning free kick for England U20's in their 2-2 draw at Turf Moor yesterday. They had led 2-1, with Will Hoskins coming on after 62 minutes but eventually succumbed to a late equaliser.

Stunning Free Kick

Murdock and Robertson are in action in midweek but the England duo are back training with the club today.
