Millmoor Round-Up

Last updated : 20 March 2006 By Deano
It's been a busy day of news out of Millmoor, but nothing concrete so far on a potential takeover. Anyway, here's the rest of the news out of the club today.

The Millers next away trip to local rivals Doncaster has been made all-ticket on advice of South Yorkshire Police, although no pricing has been announced as yet and no tickets issued to Millmoor. MillersMad will keep you informed.

The supporters club today praised the magnificent efforts of all concerned after the walk to Huddersfield. Whilst sponsorship is due in a week on Tuesday (the 28th), bucket collections have raised over £4,500 and it's still being counted, a brilliant achievement. The next fundraiser is at The Prince Of Wales Hotel this Wednesday, where we'll be holding a quiz night from 8pm. Entry is just £1 per person with a maximum of four members per team, so come on down for a few beers and help with the fundraising - all proceeds to the Save The Millers campaign.

Meanwhile, fitness coach Nick Daws completed his half marathon run on Sunday in a time just short of one hour and 40 minutes, raising £1200 along the way for the club. A big well done to Nick from all at MillersMad.

Overall fundraising is set to easily top the £200,000 mark in the next few days, keep up the hard work!
