MillersMad Tuesday Round-Up

As we await news of the Jamal Campbell-Ryce saga, with no news out of either camp thus far, heres an update on other Rotherham United news.

Firstly, congratulations goes to Shaun Barker who's performance on Saturday against Hartlepool won him a place in the League One team of the week. He partners Southend's Spencer Prior at the back, Ironically the two line up against each other this Friday evening at Roots Hall. No more than Barker deserves after his mature performances at the heart of the Millers defence this season.

Michael Keane made a comeback for the reserves this afternoon as they battled to a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield. Keane got himself on the scoresheet after seven minutes before Danny Schofield levelled for the Terriers. Phil Gilchrist, Gregor Robertson and Martin Butler all got a full 90 minutes under their belt.

Elsewhere, three local charities have received a boost thanks to the help of the club. The club's yearly FA Community Shield money has been distributed to Rotherham Womens Councilling Service, MacMillan Cancer Relief and The Cavendish Centre and they have all received cheques for over £1,600. Phil Henson told the official site: "We are always delighted to distribute the money we receive from the Community Shield. The charities we have chosen this year are very deserving, are excellent causes and we are pleased we are able to support them."
