Millers v Gillingham at New York Stadium - Preview

Last updated : 29 November 2013 By Deano

As we reported earlier, the Millers could hand James Tavernier and Haris Vuckic their debuts.

The Newcastle pair joined on loan until January on Thursday and will head straight into Steve Evans' squad.

Midfielder Michael O'Connor is a major worry with the injury he sustained the day before Tuesday's win at Coventry, as is Rob Milsom who had a back spasm 15 minutes before kick-off at Sixfields.

Mark Bradley has been ruled out for up to a month with a groin injury and David Worrall (virus) is still struggling as the Millers aim for a first home win in the league since September 14.

Elliott Hewitt and Craig Fagan both face late fitness tests for the Gills ahead of the trip.

On-loan Ipswich full-back Hewitt has sustained an ankle injury and is a major doubt while striker Fagan is struggling with a hamstring problem.

Both will be assessed ahead of the clash but Steven Gregory (thigh) and Amine Linganzi (calf) definitely continue to miss out.

Following Tuesday's 3-2 victory over Stevenage, Gills are looking to win back-to-back games in all competitions for only the second time this season.
