Millers Trio Continue Fitness Regime

The second string are looking for their first victory of the season in tonight's Pontins Cup clash at Millmoor, which yields quite a strong line-up.

With four internationals away at the weekend and no fixture for the first team, several players will have the opportunity for their first run out since a defeat at Brentford 10 days ago. Mick Harford will be taking a close interest in his returning players, particularly Andy Monkhouse (below).
Road to recovery
The tricky winger continues his rehab after a lengthy spell on the sidelines and Mick has made no secret of his desire to push Monkhouse into the first team fold.

Also continuing his return will be Scott Minto, looking to put pressure on Paul Hurst and Gregor Robertson for the left back birth. Phil Gilchrist has now abandoned plans for his shoulder operation and is set to play through the pain barrier to bolster the Millers back four, a much needed boost with three tough looking league fixtures on the horizon.

International clearance permitting, Spanish trialist Antonio Lopez checks into Millmoor and will also play in midfield tonight.

The likely starting 11 is as follows: Cutler, Brogan, Hurst, Vernazza, Minto, Gilchrist, Duncum, Lopez, Newsham, Hoskins, Monkhouse.

Anyone wishing to attend should note that, as with recent reserve fixtures, it will be free of charge with a 7pm kick off.
