Millers to lose key players?

Hands tied
It's looking increasingly likely that key players such as Shaun Barker and Lee Williamson may be potential targets for Championship sides as Alan Knill's hands become tied.

The financial situation means that higher earners or better players may be loaned out to help balance the books as the club looks to hit as close to the £1 million mark as possible.

Machine on his way?
At the AGM last week, the Star reports that a bid amounting to the measly sum of £5,000 was received for Williamson, which the club dismissed, although they may be resigned to eventually losing the influential midfield man.

Meanwhile, it's been revealed the Oldham game was cancelled on Friday afternoon due to conditions being seen to get worse overnight rather than improve, and the club would have incurred extra matchday costs if it was left to Saturday morning. Instead, Alan Knill joined in with the latter stages of the Maltby walk to Millmoor before taking in Huddersfield's entertaining 2-2 encounter with Doncaster. The Millers travel to West Yorkshire in two weeks time.
