Millers to face Grimsby in Johnstone's Paints Trophy

Last updated : 09 September 2007 By Millersmad Staff
The Millers, winners of the competition in 1996, were drawn out by Soccer AM presenters Helen Chamberlain and Andy Goldstein. The home draw is a reward for the 1-0 victory that Rotherham ground out at Mansfield last Tuesday.

Grimsby reached the second round when they thumped Huddersfield Town 4-1 and the League Two teams will battle it out at Millmoor in the week commencing 8th October. The date and kick off time is yet to be announced.

The game will provide an early opportunity for Gary Montgomery to make a return to Millmoor following his summer move east, although he is currently behind another former Rotherham keeper, Phil Barnes, in the pecking order at Blundell Park.
