Millers takeover Imminent?

Reports in todays Rotherham Star suggest that administrator Jeremy Bleazard is set to announce the preferred consortium to buy the Millers, although just exactly how much detail we are to be presented with initially is unclear.

Rumours on the MAD messageboards are already circulating that a Ron Hull consortium is the favoured choice, but for the meantime it's a waiting game as to whether Rotherham can break the clutches of the Booth family.

Last week the Booth's put the sale of the Millers in jepoardy with a string of demands sent to the administrator, stating that if their 'perks' we not written into any new deal to buy the club then they would have little choice but to withhold the sale to any potential buyer.

Anti-Booth chants and a banner were present in Saturday's 1-0 win at Mansfield, where home owner Keith Haslam was also allegedly assaulted by a Stags fan for which a middle-aged man was arrested.
