Gunning a defender has represented Ireland at under 19 level, and spent a month on loan to Tranmere Rovers earlier in the season.where he made 6 appearances. He comes on an initial months loan.
Speaking to the Official site Ronnie Moore said: "Gavin is a bright lad and certainly one for the future, there is no doubt about that, He is 6'2" and has got pace. He will give us some more strength and competition for places for that position. He has had a spell at Tranmere Rovers in League One so he has played at a higher level.
"He is a good player, I have seen a lot of him and we are pleased that Blackburn have allowed him to come out."
