Millers set to swoop for a striker?

After Mark Robins brought in goalkeeper Jamie Annerson on a three month loan, reported on MillersMAD yesterday evening, the gaffer may well be set to clinch a further body in the quest to strengthen his goal shy front line.

The side looks rather thin upfront with Chris O'Grady and Derek Holmes the automatic first choices, with only a youthful forward line and a recovering Tom Cahill pushing them for a starting birth.

O'Grady was subbed with a slight back problem at half time in the weekend defeat to Darlington but Robins insists this wasn't the primary reason the 21 year old was hauled off.

MillersMAD staff understand that a well travelled striker may be waiting in the wings and could well be snapped up before the journey to Wrexham on Saturday. Any names to throw into the ring? Join the messageboard debate HERE.

Meanwhile Peter Holmes played for just over an hour setting up the first goal with a left wing cross in last nights 4-2 reserves defeat at home to Sheffield United. The side led 2-0 with Dave Haggerty and Ryan Taylor strikes, before a strong Blades line up hit back through Nicky Law, Stephen Quinn, Luton Shelton and Billy Sharp.
