The 22 year old originally spent 3 months on loan to Roots Hall club with a deeal being done that he would be fully transfered when the transfer window opened in January.

However the much needed £117,000 which was supposed to be with the Millers did'nt show, and still has'nt and both the club and player have been left in limbo.

It is thought that after his loan, Southend boss Steve Tilson is having doubts over signing him. Jamal made 16 appearences for the Shrimpers including subs.

A range of punishments from fines to points deductions to even expulsion from the league could be given to Southend if proven guilty, and the Millers insist they have a watertight case with all the paperwork in order.

MillersMAD will bring you the latest as we get it.
