Millers Round Up: 5th September

The club received some good news in wake of their second league defeat against Port Vale at the weekend, when it was confirmed that Shaun Barker's straight red card has been rescinded to a yellow following Mick Harford's request for the referee to have a second look. Mr Lewis, of Cambridgeshire, agreed that Barker's challenge did not warrant a straight red card and Barker is now eligble to play against Gillingham on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Deon Burton's electric early season form, which has seen him net five goals in seven games, including a hat-trick has earned him a nomination for Sky Sport's Powerade player of the month for League One. Burton is up against Pawel Abbot, Dean Windass and the winner will be announced on Goals On Sunday on Sky Sports. Don't get your hopes up though as Chris Kamara will be judging so put all your money on Windass getting it as he is an ex-team mate of Kamara and has appeared on the show regularly.

Yoga
New training methods

Manager Mick Harford has been speaking of how unconventional training methods will hopefully make a difference to the team.Talking to the official site, Mick said: "You've got to vary training so we're doing a yoga session for an hour this morning. The lads are enjoying it and it's something different for them to think about and get their teeth in to."
