Millers Reserves 1-2 Scunthorpe Reserves

Fielding regular first team players Tom Pope and Ryan Taylor up front, along with Nick Fenton and Jamie Green in defence, the Millers were unable to capture their third win on the trot. Scunthorpe running out 1-2 winners

The Millers dominated the first half and it was no surprise when youngster Grant Darley put them ahead, after Tom Pope had hit the post with Darley knocking in the rebound.

The lead lasted just two minutes as Scunthorpe drew level through Garry Thompson.

The second half saw Pope hitting the woodwork again, this time the bar. Scunthorpe scored the winner with ten minutes left on the clock. A long throw was knocked on to Marcus Gibbs his header beating Annerson. The Millers piled on the pressure for the remainder of the game,Stephen Brogan going close with an overhead kick, yet the Millers were unable to grab the equaliser.
