Millers report for pre season training

Just eight first team regulars from last year are expected to return and they will be joined by nine new signings and several youth team players. The group were welcomed by chairman Denis Coleman along side Mark Robins and John Breckin.

Having made so many new signings, rookie boss Robins is hoping they don't take long to aquaint themselves with each other. Talking to the Rotherham Star he said: "There will certainly be a bedding in period with everybody getting to know everybody else, but players quickly adapt and they'll more or less know each other anyway.

"It's certainly a new look to the place because of the turn-round with quite a few leaving and so many new ones coming in. But I felt we needed some changes, although some of those going chose to do so."

Despite the floods and the extensive damage to the club's training ground at Hooton Roberts, the players will return there to do the fitness work but are seeking alternative arrangements once they begin the ball work.

The Millers first public friendly is at Altrincham on 21st July.
