Millers prepare for manager announcement

Just over a month after Alan Knill was sacked, club chairman Dennis Coleman and his board have decided on a replacement after holding interviews this week.

Mark Robins, who was asked to act as caretaker and has led the club to three wins out of six following Knill's dismissal is believed to be in the running for the job with rumours also growing about a return to the club for Millmoor legend John Breckin.
Set for role?

The job, undoubtedly one of the hardest in the football league has also attracted the attention of names thought to include Brian McLair, Dean Windass, Keith Alexander and former US coach Roberto Landi.

The new manager is almost certainly set to inherit a team that is destined to return to the basement league following an absence of seven years and will oversee the club's sixth managerial era in just over two years.
