Millers Miss Out On Westwood

Westwood had been offered a deal by Mick Harford, as well as a host of others clubs after the highly rated centre half decided to leave Hartlepool but plumped for Walsall as he has family connections in the Midlands.

The 28 year old was with Hartlepool for six years, racking up just under 300 appearances with the North East outfit, leading them to the Play Off Final last season, where he was subsequently sent off.

He joins Paul Merson's club on July 1st.
