The 30 year old has joined the Millers after being released by Millwall at the end of the season.

Having earned 47 caps for his country, and making 16 appearances in the Championship for the Lions last season, the signing has been welcomed by the Millers fans..

The gaffer Paul Warne spoke to themillers.co.uk and admitted he had to bide his time but it's a good signing.

“With his ability to play in three different positions, I felt like he was the perfect addition for us, I did a Zoom call with him and I really liked him."

“He’s played internationally in some really big games and he had a fantastic time at Millwall, I think he’ll come in and provide great competition for everyone down that side of the pitch."

“Obviously we lost Trevor Clarke, who has decided to go to Bristol Rovers, so we needed a replacement and I wanted to strengthen our left side."

“Hammy met the player for us with the recruitment team and helped us get it all done, so I’m looking forward to meeting him once we get back to the training ground.

“I’ve been chasing him for a few weeks, we had to patient because I know he had a few other options, in the end I’m delighted that he’s decided to join us."

“Fundamentally, we want to improve the squad and that is something we look to do that in every transfer window. Sometimes, to get the players you want, you have to wait a little bit longer."
