Millers look to next season

With nothing left to play for in terms of promotion and the threat of relegation receeding, the Millers are starting to look towards the close season and bringing in new players ready for next season.

Assistant boss John Breckin tells todays 'Tiser of their plans: "We are now starting to look at next year and players for next year. We have scouts out and about and myself, Mark and Steve Thornber were at matches on Tuesday night."

"Defensively we are strong but we need to start looking a bit more adventurous and when next year comes we'll have to be. We've still got a job to do this season though." Breck added.

"Our draw at Wycombe on Monday put us on 30 points after starting on minus 17 and we can see the safety line, We're equipped to get there but we need that bit of luck where you don't pick up any bad injuries.

"The games are piling up but that's what the squad is there for. The lads not in the team have got to put pressure on those in there and be ready when the chance comes."

"There's still plenty to play for for everyone. We've 17 games left. We need to win as many of them as we can and see where it takes us. We've worked so hard to get into this position and now we've just got to keep going and grabbing those points."

"You've only to lose three or four on the bounce and the others start to claw a bit back, then the situation changes."
