Millers in confirmed talks over Don Valley move..

Built in the 1990s Don Valley stadium holds 25000 spectators, but its far from ideal for watching football. Like Brighton's Withdean Stadium, there is a running track around the football ptich, leaving fans a distance from the action and the bowl itself it open to the elements.

The statement given from Steve Brailey from SIV says; "Outlaying disccusions with represenatives of Rotherham United have been held, We were approached recently by individuals on behalf of Rotherham United to consider the opportunities of hosting Rotherham United home league games at the Don Valley Stadium."

"We were able to provide information about the stadiums facilites and its impressive track record of staging professional sports fixtures and high profile national and international events."

The clubs administrator Jeremy Bleazard was unable for comment..

Should the club survive the current administration, it seems as if we'll have to take a trip over the border into DeeDar to get our footy fix..
