Bleazard said: "I can confirm that we are at an advanced stage of negotiations with a new business venture led by Tony Stewart of Rotherham based ASD Lighting PLC.
"This is a major step in securing the clubs future and whilst there are a number of technical issues to be resolved I believe I have selected the people most able to take the club forward."
Stewart himself explained: "As someone who has been a major employer in the town for years I am aware of what the club means to the community. and am eager to secure the clubs future."
Operations Officer Paul Douglas added: "On behalf of all the staff and players at the club and no doubt all our loyal supporters this announcement comes as a huge relief and we are hopeful that we can start looking to a much brighter future."
