After weeks of speculation on the clubs future, the Millers have just been granted thier 'golden share' in the football league back after accepting a 17 point penalty.

Millers Trust chairman Mark Thomas has just posted the information on the MillersMAD Messageboard.

1 the FL share is to go to Tony Stewart
2 Don Valley move is approved
3 We start on minus 17
Are the 3 points he made.

The news is no shock and boss Mark Robins admits that it has played on the players minds but now they are focused firmly on trying to emulate Leeds in having a succesfull season.

"We might have points deducted but at least the lads know they will get paid. Nobody else can hurt us now, We could sit here and feel sorry for ourselves but we can't afford to do that. We have to come out fighting like Leeds did last season. It is not the players' fault but we now have to deal with what is thrown at us and then try to develop the club." he told the Yorkshire post today.

With the penalty, the Football League have also agreed for the club to play thier future matches at Don Valley Stadium until 2012 when the club must be playing back within the Rotherham boundary or face losing a bond of £750k.

With Luton on minus 30 points and Bournemouth also in a simlar situation, its looking like it will be a 3 way mini league for survival.
