Millers eye Pope

There is speculation in a number of press sources that Pope is the latest on Mark Robins wanted list with a five figure sum reputedly being offered for the 23 year-old striker.
With Crewe wanting to cut squad numbers after their relegation and having an abundance of strikers it could mean Pope is available, however it seems it may take a substantial fee to persuade Gudjon Thordarsson to release his top scorer.
Pope scored 10 goals in his 26 appearances last season as Alex slipped out of League One on the final day.
We understand the Millers may be willing to pay around £50,000 for the player.
