Millers deserve more credit - Evans

The Millers are currently sixth in League One, which comes on the back of promotion from League Two last season.

Although 2013 ended with back-to-back defeats, Evans still described the year as "sensational" and knows similar form 2014 could see his side pushing for the Championship.

"The first half of the season has had its low points," he said to the PA. "But we have exited it in the play-offs and if we exit the second half of the season there then wow, what a season.

"We've lost two games in a row and some people are trying to drive a crisis, but some crisis we have had in 2013! We hope to repeat our form in the second half of the season to try and keep our position in the play-offs but that is a big ask.

"We shouldn't underestimate the size of the job we have done here to get in the play-off positions.

"The players have been absolutely magnificent and they haven't got enough credit."
