Millers clinch Arnason signing

Last updated : 07 June 2012 By Deano

Boss Steve Evans has been working hard to get his man and further strengthen the squad throughout the Bank Holiday break, with his efforts rewarded today with the completion of the deal following a medical at Mangham House.

29 year-old midfielder Arnason joins the Millers after rejecting an offer at Aberdeen back in January, with an Aberdeen official tellnig the BBC at the time, "We made Kari an exceptionally good offer. However, the player believes he can earn a better deal elsewhere, He is crucial to our plans for the remainder of the current campaign, both in terms of climbing up the SPL table and enjoying a fruitful run in the Scottish Cup."

Arnason spent 2 seasons at Plymouth Argyle making 73 appearances but was released by the administrators at Plymouth after refusing to defer wages owed whilst in admin.

Kari has represented Iceland since 2005, making 18 appearances.

MillersMAD wish him all the best.
