Main Stand seats to be sold as work continues

Many supporters had been enquiring wether the club would be selling parts of the old stand, and after initially being unsure with issues with landlord Ken Booth, today the club announced plans for a sale and a memorabilia auction.

The wooden seats will cost £25 each, however they will be also available in sets of 3 (£60) and 5 (£90). Due to the tricky job of getting the seats out due to the metal stanchions the club may not be able to get you specific seat, but will do thier best to get it out.

Interest is expected to be pretty high and due to the time constrants of the work (the bulldozers are expected in at Millmoor in just 10 days time) the club are asking anybody wishing to purchase thier seat to let them know ASAP by calling the club on 01709 512760 or by email commercial@rotherhamunited.net


The Memorabillia auction will be held later in the year and as well as auctioning off seats there will be signs and other items from the old stand going under the hammer.

Earlier club Chairman Peter Ruchniewicz had told the Official website that the final contract for the stand has been signed "I'm absolutely delighted we have now finalised the matter and it's all systems go. A lot of people have put in a lot of hard work to get this project off the ground and I would like to offer my personal thanks to everyone who has contributed in any way.

"We can all now look forward to a brighter future but we must not get complacent as we still have much hard work to do with the money raising schemes that must continue." he added.
