Wiliamson, who played through the pain barrier towards the end of last season to help the Millers preserve League One status, underwent surgery on his troublesome shoulder and has been recovering well.

He has been working in the gym to keep up his fitness levels and now looks set to join up with his team mates and in particular his new midfield partner Justin Cochrane.

Club physio Denis Circuit told the official site: "He had been troubled with a shoulder problem at the end of last season but chose to soldier on rather than have the operation then. It has now been carried out and Lee has been doing local work in the gym while he recovers.

"We go to see the doctor tomorrow and he should get the all clear to step up things and catch up with the remainder of the squad. He's usually a very fit lad as he showed last season so he'll soon be on a par with the rest of the players."

Myself and Bigrich presented Lee with the site's player of the season award in May and i'm sure all Millers hope he continues his excellent start to his Rotherham career.

Meanwhile Circuit has declared a clean bill of health for the rest of the squad after the first week of training as they prepare for a friendly at Grantham this Saturday evening.
