Lynch ac 1For 29 year old Lynch a Wembley trip would be a chance to be on the winning side of a playoff final.

He spoke to the Advertiser this week of the disappointment when his previous club Yeovil lost out in the Leuge One playoff final against Blackpool, Lynch said: "I had only just come back from injury when Yeovil got to Wembley but I managed to get on for the last 25 minutes. Unfortunately we didn't win but it was a great experience and something to look back on."

"Most players are lucky to play at Wembley once, never mind twice, so to go back would be fantastic—but if we do I'm looking to go one better this time. "Now automatic promotion has gone, we want to go up via the play-offs and there is no better way of doing it than winning at Wembley."

Mark is hoping that the Millers will offer a new contract, saying: "I'd love to sign another contract here. If you asked anyone in the dressing room they'd say the same. I've a girlfriend here and I'm settled. I'm looking to stay whether we go up or not but obviously, if there's the prospect of playing for Rotherham in League One next season then I will have a very happy summer."

The Millers win at Barnet at the weekend meant they kept the fourth place in the league. Lynch had the job of marking the speedy Albert Jarrett, Mark explained: "Jarrett is decent. He's tricky and he's got decent pace, He likes to get the ball in the box early so it was good to have a decent game against him and help us keep a clean sheet."

"Barnet's front four have always been strong, wingers especially. We were hanging on, especially with them pumping balls into the box late on. A second goal would have been nice but we defended well and it was great to come away with three points."
