List grows for Millers hotseat.

So far, the early favorite to land the job seems to be Bobby Williamson who is out of work after being sacked by Plymouth in September.

Williamson, a former Millers fans favorite who banged in plenty of goals during his playing spell here, however he has plenty of competition for job from others.

Former Millers defender Chris Wilder, who played for the Millers between 1992-96 is also in the frame. Wilder is currently manager of conference team Halifax Town and has over 2 years to run on his current contract.

But today speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Wilder admitted to be flattered by the link. Wilder said, "It's happened for a long time where players who have played at clubs and have gone on to do a decent job in management elsewhere will then get linked."

"I've never hidden my ambition to work in the Football League. I'd like to do it here but I would be showing a lack of ambition if I didn't want to get back into the League." he added.

Other names intrested in the job are Stan Ternant, who told Real Radio that he was intrested and waiting for the phone call from the club. Should Ternant get the job, its a good call that Neil Warnocks offer of help to the Millers will be pulled back as the pair hate each other.

Mick Gooding, former Miller and Reading assistant manager has also said he will be applying for the job.

Former boss Billy McEwan, now at York is again in the frame after being rumoured to be nailed on for the job last time around.

Parkin
Martin Scott is another name banded about, although the former Miller is managing fellow League 1 team Hartlepool and who can see him quitting them to join us?

Rochdale boss Steve Parkin is another suprise name on the list, and again I can't see him coming to Millmoor. Rochdale would need paying off and does Parkin fancy a relegation battle?

While all this is happening, Millers Chairman Peter Ruchniewicz is asking for the Millers fans for patience. "We know our fans are anxious for further news but I do ask for their patience. The directors held preliminary talks over the weekend and we hope to make a further announcement about the management situation later in the week." he told the clubs official website today.
