Knill went to Watford on the invitation of Aidy Bothroyd who made contact after being in the South Yorkshire area reports todays Rotherham Star.

Knill has a growing reputation for bringing younger players on, as last proved by Stephen Quinn who has now gone on to make play in Sheffield Uniteds first team, scoring his first premiership goal against Aston Villa a fortnight ago.

And speaking to Radio Sheffield today, Knill admitted that he could be bringin in some of Watfords players come the January transfer window.

"I went down yesterday and it was good watching thier training and the reserve game. The thing is that he (Bothroyd) wants some players out on loan and wants them somewhere he knows they will be looked after."

"It was a compliment to us as a Football club that he came to us, so I was more than happy to go down and have a look, and there's some players there that will do us. When the window opens in January we will go and have another look and chat about it." Knill added.
