Knill happy with squad competition

Speaking to todays Rotherham Star, Knill said: "We have a decent squad. It isn't the biggest, but within it we have what all managers want and need - that's competition, If someone goes out then someone else comes in and can make the shirt his. That is what has happened recently."

That recently happened with Ian Sharps sitting out the win over Crewe after club skipper Colin Murdock took Sharps place after Sharps was serving his suspension from his red card at Hartlepool.

Eugen Bopp was red-carded on Saturday and it's looking like justin Cochrane will regain a place in the team to face Carlisle on Saturday.

"It is up to the player coming in to take the shirt and make it their job to keep it, making it hard for me to leave them out," Knill said

Knill once again reminded us all that the hard work doesnt stop just because we've got out of the relegation zone, "We've had a lot of good words said after Saturday's performance but that's gone now, it means nothing with regards to going to Carlisle, Let all the words wash over us, keep our feet on the ground and assess the reality of the situation that we have a lot of work to do to climb away from the bottom four." he added
