According to the clubs official site, Knill was due to have talks with an un-named player who featured in the Championship last season but also has Premiership experience.
"It is still early stages but it is important to get the players in and see what the chances are," Knill told todays Rotherham Star.

Later this week, the boss is hoping to be talking with a defender, a midfielder and a winger as Knill aims to add to his squad.
Rumours are spreading that Knill is intrested in the Donny Rovers Ricky Ravenhill, With the Yorkshire Post stating that the deal is at the 'discussing personal terms' stage.
