The 21 year-old picked up the injury at Gillingham last Tuesday night and veteran Andy Warrington came in for Saturdays defeat to Bristol Rovers.
However Taylor is expected to have recovered in time to resume his place this weekend.
Meanwhile, The Millers are set for talks to extend Shaun Harrad's loan from Bury over the next 48 hours.
