As the 30 year old midfielder sits out the next Iceland game due to suspension, he tells the 'Tiser that although he's gutted to miss international games, he's putting Rotherham's promotion push as priority.

“Obviously I want to play for Iceland every time I get a chance but I am suspended for picking up yellow cards against Norway and then Switzerland. In my opinion neither should have been bookings but that is in the past. Rotherham pay my wages and it is more important at this moment to secure promotion for Rotherham than to be away.”

Arnason admitted in the Advertiser that his form had dipped since Christmas; “I had a bad month in January; that wasn't the best for me, but I think I have picked up where I left off before that and come back strong. I have looked inwards at why I was doing badly but you just have to get on with it.”

He also added that the Millers need to be more consistant at the New York Stadium; “Hopefully we will get back to winning ways at home and we need to because we have just not been good enough in terms of results. We have been unlucky, for example against Gillingham and Port Vale when we absolutely hammered them but they somehow got away with a win, but we've had some bad performances at home as well and it is something we need to sort out.”
