"I've done that and I've been in the game long enough to know that a couple of mistakes and defeats can give you your chance and you've got to be ready.
"We had a couple of defeats and I thought things might be changed. It's strange because the gaffer doesn't make many changes but he brought in six bodies last week.
"As soon as I realised I was going to be involved I was excited because I've been waiting a while. The manager decided to change formation to play three at the back, which meant I got a proper chance.
"If I come in and perform then I'll have something to say if he does start changing things again. All I can do is play as well as I can and help us get the results we need."
