Knill has two players sidelined in Gregor Robertson and Michael Keane, as they look very unlikely to make the trip. Scott Wiseman looks set to miss out too after he wasn't considered due to his injury at the weekend.

Delroy Facey and Ryan Taylor may also come in upfront. Facey is in need of 90 minutes match fitness after his reserve comeback last week against Scunthorpe and after coming off the bench against Brentford. The duo are likely to replace top scorer Will Hoskins and Dave Hibbert, who have both picked up knocks.

Martin Woods and Eugen Bopp will also come into contention for a start as Justin Cochrane is doubtful with a pulled muscle and probably won't be risked.

Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson has no new injury absentees though he still has a long-term injury list.

Midfielder Ali Gibb and striker Joel Porter are expected to be fit after being substituted against Stockport.
