It's good to win ugly - Nicholas

"It was a hard game and we knew it was going to be - it always is at places like this, the wind was blowing and the rain and there was a bit of a slope, it was a tough game."

"They play quite directly Alexanders teams and we've been doing well so they were probably trying to stop us playing football. So we knew what we was going to get and its pleasing to win."

"It was a strange ending, we went 2 up and they got one back and we had a couple of minutes just hanging on, but a wins a win, we've got to be ugly but we needed the 3 points."
"It was very important to get the early goal, it would have been nice to have continued that but it was our only real chance in the first half. It was our only little bit of football, the rest was just a fight and there was a lot of long balls. The early goal killed them off a bit."

Nicolas admitted that his goal was a bit of a scramble; "The ball hit me on the chest and it was a bit of a melee but I just wanted to get the ball over the line, it was a bit of a barge over the line, but as soon as I saw it over the line I didnt care who the goal was given to."

Andy spoke about the red card dished out to Ian Sharps after picking up his second yellow; "The sending off was strange, once he sent their lad off I thought he was going to send Sharps off. We were going to have a look at it but with it beign two yellows I don't think theres anything you can do. He's going to miss a game which is unfortunate."

"We`ve got eight points now, that was a big game and a couple of more wins and your talking the twelve, thirteen, fourteen point mark and then you`re right back in it then with a number of teams I should imagine so we've just got to continue how we've been doing."

"That was a great win becuase it was scrappy and ugly and sometimes its as good to win games like that rather than games where you win 3 nil and your comfortable."

Andy then looked forward to tomorrow nights game against Darlington at DVS; "That won`t be easy. Games are coming thick and fast now and its Saturday / Tuesday for the next month or so, We've just got to put this game aside us and recover right, then just prepare for the game on Tuesday and when thats out of the way theres another game a few days later, so theres not much training going on because its just matches really but thats the best way when your a player, thats what you want. As long as we keep winning and fit."
