It's a lovely adventure! - Stewart

Speaking to The Star at length prior to the Millers trip to London on Sunday to face Dagenham, Tony was excited at the times that lay ahead for the club under his stewardship.

He explained: "I think these are exciting times and we're on the crest of a wave with the prospect of going to Wembley and then, hopefully, win promotion, that's the ambition.

"It is about winning, about moving forward and not being static. I talk to chairmen whose clubs have been in League Two for 10 years and more - well, that would drive me crackers.

"Fans want good football with a work ethic and entertainment but it's about winning. But it's not just the football but the development of Rotherham United, of moving forward.

"We went from Millmoor to Don Valley where the people have been really good, the hospitality excellent, the food superb - necessities for clubs these days. The Borough Council have been pro-active, they've worked well with the football club to bring about the new stadium and the training ground."

Tony added: "Many things are coming together and its a lovely adventure,
yes, I have a drive and a passion and an enthusiasm but it has to be backed up by professional people. It's not just the football team, it's about putting a football club together with proper people behind it.

"Who would have thought not so long ago that we would be enjoying a day out at Wembley? - let's all hope we can push on from here."
